Freedom (TM) by Daniel Suarez

Last year a friend recommended I read Daemon by Daniel Suarez, and it turned out to be a really amazing book that I couldn’t put down. It began with a freakish murder, and then included a video game company that was a mix of World of Warcraft and Google. Later we find a computer program that has basically replaced the former head of the large game company. I don’t really want to give away too much, but reality and virtual reality intermingle and it is a great story right up until the very last page when you realize the story hadn’t ended. Normally I get annoyed when I am left with no ending, but this story was so good that I subscribed to the author’s blog so I’d know the instant the second book came out. Yesterday Freedom (TM) came out so now I’m excited to find some time to read. I strongly encourage folks to read Daemon and then immediately pick up Freedom (TM).
